We are looking for a Project Manager in Toulouse.
About the role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Toulouse.
The successful candidate will combine solid expertise in project and program management with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. This role is key to strengthening the execution and monitoring of our project and product development roadmap, ensuring alignment between workload, budgets, schedules, and technical objectives, in close collaboration with Product Owners and technical teams.
As part of the Project Management Department, reporting to the Operations Directorate, you will work closely with your colleagues and interact daily with a wide range of stakeholders within our matrix organization. These stakeholders include internal teams (Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other support functions) as well as external partners, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
The position requires a strong command of the full project lifecycle, from the pre-project phase—supporting commercial and technical teams in proposal preparation and project structuring—through execution, monitoring, risk management, customer engagement, and final project closure.
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented professional who can operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound decision-making, and excellent communication abilities are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Define project objectives, scope, budget, and schedule in collaboration with Business Development teams and technical leaders.
Support the preparation of competitive project proposals aligned with customer requirements and business opportunities.
Ensure effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders.
Act as the primary interface between project needs and resource availability.
Monitor and manage resource allocation in close coordination with discipline managers and team leaders to ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently.
Establish, track, and control project budgets (hours and costs) based on scope, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and execution plans.
Provide regular project status updates to management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and mitigation actions.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure project delivery meets agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, and technical objectives.
What you need to be successful:
Educational Background: Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: 5–10 years of experience in project management, preferably within highly technical, industrial, engineering, or R&D environments.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of both traditional and Agile project management methodologies, best practices, and tools.
Advanced proficiency with project management and planning software (MS Project, Excel, Odoo, or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle, from proposal and initiation through execution, delivery, and closure.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on priorities and deadlines.
Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
Willingness and ability to travel within Europe on short notice when required.
Soft Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Resilient and capable of managing uncertainty, pressure, and setbacks in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
High level of organization, autonomy, and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment, with flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
Other useful skills:
Industry Experience: Previous experience in the aerospace, space, aeronautics, defense, or other high-tech industries is highly desirable.
Specialized Expertise: PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, Agile certifications, or equivalent are considered a plus
Security & Defense: open to work on defense-related projects. Candidate must be eligible for security clearance.
