About the role
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist in Barcelona to join our IT team, reporting to the IT Manager.
This is Pangea's first dedicated cybersecurity role. Building on the foundations already in place, you will develop and mature our cybersecurity hand in hand with the IT Manager, in a demanding environment shaped by ISO 27001 and NIS2 requirements. The role combines hands-on technical work with governance and risk management, to protect our assets, intellectual property and business operations while enabling secure growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Together with the IT Manager, structure and drive Pangea's cybersecurity roadmap, policies and governance, and raise the maturity of what is already in place
Lead compliance and risk management activities (ISO 27001, NIS2 and other applicable requirements), including audits and third-party security reviews
Run security operations: monitoring, alert investigation, incident response, post-incident reviews, metrics and reporting
Lead the deployment and management of endpoint and email protection (EDR/XDR) and monitoring solutions
Own the security of identities and access: MFA, Zero Trust, privileged accounts and access reviews
Own vulnerability management and infrastructure hardening, and assess the security of changes, projects and Microsoft/cloud environments, in coordination with the Systems & Network Administrator
Act as operational backup for critical network services (firewall, VPN, connectivity)
Advise the IT Manager on risks, priorities and investments, keep watch on emerging threats and promote a security-first culture
What you bring
5 to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity in enterprise environments, including security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and IAM
Experience with ISO 27001, good knowledge of NIS2 and of frameworks such as NIST or CIS Controls
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft security stack: Microsoft 365 security, Defender, Entra ID (Conditional Access) and Azure
Solid understanding of Windows and Linux environments, networking (firewalls, VPN, DNS/DHCP, Active Directory) and cloud/hybrid infrastructure
Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM and vulnerability scanning; scripting (PowerShell) is a plus
A pragmatic, risk-based approach, and the ability to explain security in business language and influence teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in cybersecurity, IT or equivalent experience
