We are looking for a Configuration Engineer in Toulouse.

About your job:

We are seeking a Configuration Engineer to establish and manage the company's configuration management processes across our propulsion product portfolio.

You will ensure that product requirements, design baselines, technical data, and change histories are accurately tracked throughout the development lifecycle. Your work will provide clear visibility of product evolution and guarantee traceability across all development activities.

As the company's primary Configuration Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, product assurance, project management, and commercial teams to maintain configuration integrity across all products including ARCOS, KRONOS, and Nereus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, and maintain the company's configuration management processes.

  • Establish and manage product baselines, requirements, design states, and configuration identifiers.

  • Develop and maintain configuration databases and the company’s documentation management systems to ensure smooth operations.

  • Manage engineering change requests (ECRs) and coordinate technical evaluations with subject matter experts.

  • Support the creation of project activity matrices, ensuring clear definition and traceability of inputs, outputs, and deliverables.

  • Monitor and report configuration evolution, including key parameters such as mass, performance, power, thrust, and mass flow rate.

  • Produce regular configuration status and evolution reports for technical and management stakeholders.

  • Support project reviews by ensuring the availability and consistency of required documentation and data packages.

  • Manage Review Item Discrepancy (RID) processes.

  • Assess supplier configuration waivers and provide limited support for certain Product Assurance activities.

What you need to be successful

  • Degree in engineering or a related technical field.

  • 1 year or more of relevant working experience.

  • Knowledge of configuration management principles in complex engineering projects.

  • Experience working with ECSS standards or equivalent aerospace, defense, or industrial standards.

  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments, preferably within propulsion or aerospace systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High level of organization and autonomy, as well as good attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluency in English.

Other useful skills

  • Experience in the development of rocket engines, propulsion systems, or launch vehicle hardware.

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or other collaborative engineering tools / requirement management tools such as Valispace, CDP4, OCDT, or DOORS.

  • Previous applied experience in systems engineering, product assurance, or configuration management within aerospace projects. Relevant certifications are considered a plus.

Security & Defense: open to work on defense-related projects. Candidate must be eligible for security clearance.
